Laika's Orbit is a four piece band from Western MA who formed in late 2014, from the looks of things. Laika's Orbit play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of punk, grunge, and indie rock. Laika's Orbit sound can best be characterized by melodic, energetic, and catchy vocals and chunky riffs. Musically, Laika's Orbit can be said to be influenced by bands such as Chisel, Big Eyes, Cheap Girls, California X, Replacements, and Lemonheads. Since forming in 2014, Laika's Orbit have released a self-titled five song demo and and a cover of Pointed Sticks' What Do You Want From Me? No Matter What It Takes is the band's debut full-length LP, which was released via Total Negativity records on November 10th, 2015. On Whatever It Takes, Laika's Orbit offer up ten tracks of energetic and catchy as hell sounding punk, grunge, and indie rock. Overall, Whatever It Takes is a killer LP and should not be missed.
