Holy shit. Where did this band come from? Hells is a four piece band from Philadelphia, PA who formed in 2014. Hells features current and former membersof Orchid, Transistor Transistor, Brain Dead, Wolves, Sore Saints, Psychic Teens, and Heathen Reign. Hells play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of post hardcore, punk, grunge, and noise rock within their sound. Hells' sound can be best be described, as raw, blown-out, snotty, and brutal as fuck. Musically, I hear bits of bands like Ink And Dagger, early Icarus Line, Panthers, and other bands that blurred the lines between hardcore, grunge, and noise rock. Since forming in 2014, Hells have released a three song demo in November of 2014. Paradise is the band's debut six song EP, which is slated to be released via Seeing Red records on May 13th, 2016. On Paradise, Hells offer up six tracks of driving, raging, and totally blown out post hardcore, punk, grunge, and noise rock. Overall, Paradise is a killer EP and should not be missed.
