Swells is a three piece band from Denver, Colorado who formed in January of 2010. Swells play a chaotic and volatile style of music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, and screamo within their sound. Musically, Swells can be loosely compared to bands such as Capacities, Pg. 99, Gospel, Coma Regalia, and Malady, Since their inception in 2010, Swells have released an eight song LP titled Ride The Waterfall in December of 2010, a seven song LP titled Illuminated Levels in December of 2011, a split with Orphans in September of 2013, a split with Gaff in February of 2015, and a split with Marcy in April of 2015. Refraction//Incarnation is the band's latest full-length, which was released on February 18th, 2013. On Refraction//Incarnation, Swells offer up six tracks of dark, chaotic, volatile, and tense sounding hardcore, punk, and screamo. Overall, Refraction//Incarnation is a killer LP and should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
