Kalpa is a five piece band from Athens, Greece for formed in 2013. Kalpa play a heavy and brutal as fuck style of music that incorporates elements of post hardcore, post metal, and sludge within their sound. Musically, Kalpa can be said to be influenced by bands such as Envy, Titan, Burnt By The Sun, Heiress, and other like-minded bands. Since their inception in 2013, Kalpa have released a seven song LP titled Sequences in January of 2015. Dissociation is the band's latest five song LP, which was released via World's Appreciated Kitsch Records & Booking on April 11th, 2016. On Dissociation, Kalpa offer up five tracks of aggressive, heavy, and brutal as fuck sounding post hardcore, post metal, and sludge. Overall, Dissociation is a killer LP and should not be missed.
