Wow. This band comes as a pleasant surprise. I absolutely had to give this album a review after getting a request to post about this band. Saint God is a two piece band from Tel Aviv, Israel who formed in 2015. Saint God play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of shoegaze, post punk, punk, and garage rock within their sound. Musically, Saint God can be loosely compared to bands such as Broken Water, Diat, The Estranged, Sonic Youth, early A Place To Bury Strangers, and other like-minded bands. Since their inception in 2015, Saint God have released a three song EP titled Realise in September of 2015. Montefiore is the band's debut full-length LP, which was released on February 9th, 2016. On Montefiore, Saint God offer up ten tracks of tense, frenetic, yet swirling and dreamy shoegaze, post punk, punk, and garage rock. Overall, Montefiore is a killer LP and should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
