Bloodiest is a six piece band from Chicago, Il who formed in 2008. Bloodiest play an extremely dense, heavy, and a really darkly mesmerizing style of music that incorporates elements of post metal, shoegaze, post rock, and experimental metal within their sound. Bloodiest features members of Yakuza, Corrections House, Russian Circles, Yob, and Minsk. Bloodiest's sound is characterized by haunting melodies, hypnotic rhythms, and punctuated by a heaviness that keeps the sound from veering too far into the droning post rock area of experimental metal. Since their inception in 2008, Bloodiest have released a six song LP titled Descent in March of 2011. This is Bloodiest's latest self-titled LP, which is slated for release via Relapse records on January 15th, 2016. On their latest full-length offering, Bloodiest offer up eight tracks of forward thinking post metal, shoegaze, post rock and experimental metal that's an absolute must listen for fans of True Widow and Blood Sun Circle.
