Here's a killer split featuring new material from Mississauga, Ontario's Terry Green and Huge Cosmic. Terry Green is a new Canadian based band who formed in 2014. Terry Green play a killer style of post hardcore, punk, screamo, emo, and math rock. Musically, Terry Green is influenced by bands such as Animal Faces, The Reptilian, Caravels, Naive, Touche Amore, and At The Drive-In. This amalgamation of sounds and styles result in a sound that can be described as being reminiscent of Van Johnson, Alexis On Fire, and State Faults. On their side of the split, Terry Johnson offer up two songs of brilliantly executed post hardcore, screamo, emo, and math rock. This split EP serves as Terry Green's follow-up to their Visiting Hours EP, released in August of 2014. The second two songs for this split come courtesy of Big Cosmic. Big Cosmic is a two piece band from Mississauga, Ontario who formed in late 2013, from the looks of things. Big Cosmic play a killer style of experimental screamo tinged post hardcore, that can be said to be influenced by bands such as Book Of Caverns, The Appleseed Cast, and Weatherbox. Since their inception in 2013, Big Cosmic have released an eight song LP titled Microcosmic in December of 2013. On their side of the split, Huge Cosmic offer up two tracks of tense and hard to pigeonhole tracks of post hardcore, emo, and screamo. Overall, this is a killer split and should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy! This split EP was released on cassette via Zegema Beach and NDE records on November 3rd, 2015.
