Immortal Bird is a three piece band from Chicago, Illinois who formed in 2013. Immortal Bird plays an intense and brutal as fuck sounding style of music that draws inspiration from a diverse variety of underground metal including black metal, doom, sludge, grindcore, and thrash. Immortal Bird ties all these styles together effortlessly and with a raw punk attitude that will make the band appeal to people into underground metal as well as people who listen to hardcore and punk. Musically, Immortal Bird will appeal to fans of bands such as Thou, Black September, Ancestors, old Sweet Cobra, Noisem, and Powerwolves. Since their inception in 2013, Immortal Bird have released a four song EP titled Akrasia in December of 2013. Empress/Abscess is Immortal Bird's debut full-length LP, which was released via Broken Limbs recordings on July 14th, 2015. On Empress/Abscess, Immortal Bird offer up five tracks of vicious, blistering, and raw as fuck sounding black metal, doom, sludge, grindcore, and thrash.
