Holy fuck! How haven't I heard of this band before? Old Skin was a four piece band from Manchester, United Kingdom who formed in early 2013 from the looks of things and recently called it a day on November 17th, 2015. Old Skin played a brutal and vicious as fuck style of music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, crust, and grindcore within their sound. Musically, Old Skin can be loosely compared to bands such as Bone Dance, Divider, Reproacher, Pariso, and Globe And Beast. Since their inception in 2013, Old Skin have released a five song EP titled Maere in October of 2013, a two song cd single titled Consume in May of 2014, and a three song cassette titled Like Crows in December of 2014. Beneath The Trees is the bands first and unfortunately final full-length LP, which was released on November 16th, 2015. On Beneath The Trees, Old Skin offer up ten tracks of blackened, metallic, and crust tinged hardcore that's an absolute must listen for fans of Reproacher, Seizures, Pariso and other like-minded bands. Overall, Beneath The Trees makes for an insanely good listen. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
