Longings is a three piece band from Amherst, Massachusetts, who formed in early 2013. Longings features Will Killingsworth who's known from highly renowned bands that include Orchid, Failures, Blessed State, and Ritual Mess, as well as many others I haven't included here. Will also runs a killer recording studio call Dead Air Studios and runs an amazing record label called Clean Plate records. Longings also includes Meghan Minior, who's best known from her time spent playing in Ampere. Longings is rounded out by Cole Lanier, who's also played in several Western Massachusetts bands, although I can't say I really know any of his work prior to Longings. Longings play a dark and hook laden style of punk and post punk. Musically, Longings can be loosely compared to bands such as old White Lung, Neon Piss, and Terrible Feelings. Longings first caught my attention in 2013, with the release of their self titled four song demo, which was released in April of 2013. This is Longings' debut full-length LP, which was released via Framework and Echo Canyon records on September 18th, 2015. On their debut full-length LP, Longings offer up eight tracks of dark, frenetic, moody, and tense sounding punk and post punk. Overall, this is an amazing album that should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
