Absolutist is a three piece band from Ireland, England, and Scotland who formed in late 2011, from the looks of things. Absolutist play a mind-blowing style of music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, and crust within their sound. Musically, Absolutist can be said to be influnced by bands such as Amebix, From Ashes Fall, His Hero Is Gone, Tragedy, and Cursed. Since their inception in 2011, Absolutist have released a seven song LP titled Ave in February of 2012, a split 7" with Abest in June of 2013, and a split 12" with Link in June of 2013. Traverse is Absolutist's latest three song 7", which was released via Distro-y Records, Svoboda Records, Chainbreaker Records, Broken Limbs Records, Never Fall Into Silence Records, Pumpkin Records, Bomb This Shit Productions, Holy Goat Records, and Mind Control Records on October 6th, 2015. On their latest 7", Absolutist offer up three tracks of spite-fueled and brutal as fuck sounding hardcore, punk, and crust. Overall, Traverse is a killer 7" and should not be missed.
