I Hate Sex is a four piece band from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada who formed in late 2014, from the looks of things. I Hate Sex play a killer style of music that incorporates elements of hardcore, punk, emo, and screamo within their sound. Musically, I Hate Sex can be loosely compared to bands such as Todos Caeran, Mahria, Coma Regalia, Old Gray, Saetia, and other like-minded bands. I Hate Sex's sound is actually quite prolific and runs the gamut of the emo/screamo spectrum. The band's sound can be harsh and chaotic to melodic and introspective. The female fronted vocals of the lead singer Nicole really adds a sense of urgency that makes the band's sound stand out from the usual as far as I Hate Sex is concerned. Circle Thinking is the band's debut full-length cassette, which was released via Too Far Gone records on July 31st, 2015. On Circle Thinking, I Hate Sex offer up seven tracks of killer emo and screamo that's an absolute a must listen for fans of this genre of music. Overall, Circle Thinking is a killer release and should not be missed. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
