Kill Yourself were a three piece band from Bradford, United Kingdom who existed from 2001-2005. Kill Yourself played a killer style of music that incorporated elements of hardcore, punk, post hardcore, and noise rock within their sound. Musically, Kill Yourself can be said to be described as being influenced by bands Jesus Lizard, Shellac, Fugazi, and Hammerhead, Cows, and other 90's AM REP/Touch And Go records style bands. Kill Yourself featured an angular and discordant style with blown out guitar work, jagged basslines, and killer drum beats, topped off with vocals akin to Fugazi era Ian Mckaye. Prism Songs was originally recorded in 2002 and unearthed in 2013. Prism Songs was released via Obscene Baby Auction records on September 23rd, 2013. On Prism Songs, Kill Yourself offer up ten tracks of frenetic sounding hardcore, punk, post hardcore, and noise rock. Overall, Prism Songs is a killer LP that sounds amazing, considering that these songs are over 13 years old. Highly recommended! Enjoy!
